Course Title: Visual Impairment Awareness

This course is aimed at all staff supporting individuals who are visually impaired.
The course begins with basic anatomy of the eye and conditions that can affect the eyes and ends with the opportunity to try the simulation glasses – to see what it could be like to have some of the more common eye conditions.

Recognising people with sight loss, including equipment that may be available/used

Simulation
Delegates have the opportunity to try simulation spectacles.
At the end of the training session, there is a written assessment to evidence the learning of the attendees.
