At Home Instead Wirral, we are dedicated to providing exceptional person-centered care and empowering older adults to thrive whilst aging well at home. Our expertise in dementia care is something we take great pride in, and we are excited to announce that we will be hosting the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus on Monday, August 7th. This mobile tour is designed to raise awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by those living with dementia.
As the only CQC 'Outstanding' rated domiciliary care company on the Wirral, we deliver compassionate care and support to enable people to remain safely in their homes, where they feel secure and where their memories reside. Our Care Professionals receive City and Guilds Dementia training to effectively support clients living with dementia and their families.
Home Instead is committed to providing services not just for our clients but for the wider community. We host various companionship cafes around the area that are free to attend, giving people the opportunity to meet and chat within their local community. We also assist at many community events such as singing cafes, chatty cafes, and collaborate with local organisations to combat social isolation.
In addition to our community work, we also deliver Dementia Awareness training sessions across Wirral, Chester, and the South Liverpool area. These free sessions have been offered to community groups, doctors surgery’s the Archdiocese, solicitors, and many primary schools to raise awareness of dementia and how people can help their loved ones live well with it.
As part of our commitment to raising awareness and understanding of dementia, we are proud to be hosting the Home Instead Virtual Dementia Tour Bus. We aim to provide our Care Professionals and other professionals within our community with a deeper understanding of the challenges people with dementia face. This initiative aligns with our mission to work with other organisations to support our clients living with dementia.
The Virtual Dementia Tour Bus offers a unique and impactful opportunity for our employees and other community professionals to experience firsthand what it's like to live with dementia. This immersive training allows participants to empathise deeply, an invaluable perspective not often available in everyday training.
