The Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT) is a pioneering, scientifically proven training experience that immerses participants in the world of dementia. Delivered across the UK through mobile simulators or in-house facilities, the VDT allows delegates to experience the challenges faced by people with dementia, helping them understand the practical changes needed in care and environment to improve quality of life.
Developed 25 years ago by Professor PK Beville and now offered in the UK by Training 2 CARE, the VDT has been shown through research by Ulster University to significantly improve dementia care. 95% of delegates report changes in their practice, 97% see improved knowledge, and 100% achieve better outcomes for those they care for.
Over 300,000 people take the VDT each year, including staff from NHS Trusts, care homes, police, prisons, and universities. Its impact is unparalleled, making it the leading dementia training programme in the UK.
If you're looking to enhance dementia care within your organisation and improve outcomes for those with dementia, the Virtual Dementia Tour is essential. Book your tickets now and start making a difference.
The Autism Reality Experience (ARE) is an innovative, immersive training programme designed to give non-autistic individuals a firsthand understanding of the sensory processing challenges faced by those on the autism spectrum. Developed by Glenn Knight, Managing Director of Training 2 CARE, alongside autistic people, the experience is as realistic as possible, transforming perceptions of autism.
The ARE has been widely adopted across various sectors, including the NHS, care providers, universities, prisons, schools, police, ambulance services, and more. Its impact continues to grow, fostering greater empathy and understanding of autism.
In response to upcoming legislation requiring autism awareness training for all nurses and social care workers, Glenn Knight emphasises that the Autism Reality Experience offers the most effective way to gain this vital awareness by allowing participants to "walk in the shoes" of someone with autism, recognising the challenges they face due to sensory overload and social misunderstandings.
If you are committed to enhancing autism awareness and improving care practices, the Autism Reality Experience is an invaluable training tool. Book your session today to start creating a more inclusive and understanding environment.

The priority for care providers supporting individuals with dementia is to ensure they maintain a healthy weight and enjoy a balanced diet. While the care sector excels at preparing nutritious meals, the dining experience itself is often overlooked. Do we truly understand the challenges people with dementia face in the dining area?
The newly launched D.I.E.T. course, exclusively offered by Training 2 CARE, offers a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the sensory challenges faced during mealtimes. This 2-hour immersive training will guide you through the sensory barriers of sight, smell, and hearing, while introducing you to adaptive equipment, effective table settings, menu design, and colour spectrums that can enhance the dining experience for people with dementia.
What sets this course apart is the chance to step into the shoes of those we care for, gaining an understanding of the unintentional barriers we often create around dining. By promoting a positive dining environment, this course empowers staff with new knowledge to improve care, enhance mealtime experiences, and ultimately transform the lives of both staff and those they support.
Book your tickets today and be part of the movement to improve dementia care through a better dining experience.
