Why We're Hosting the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus
We have decided to host the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus because we want more people, both professionals, family carers and people in general, to have a better understand of the challenges people with dementia face. We invite you to come along to this remarkable virtual experience.
The Virtual Dementia Tour Bus provides a unique and impactful opportunity to experience in a sensory way, what it's really like to live with dementia. The level of training provided in this 3 hour experience allows participants to put themselves in someone else's shoes, and is invaluable. The session also counts as Continued Professional Development (CPD) and a certificate is awarded on completion.
We are thrilled to host the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus within the community and are grateful to Swindon Borough Council who have kindly allowed use of their Civic Offices in Euclid Street as a central location for the event. We hope this initiative creates greater understanding, empathy and support for those living with dementia and their loved ones.
