Our specialist Healthcare at Home team help to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, as well as facilitating more effective hospital discharge. Our team do this through an expanded range of clinical care services which can be carried out in a person's home by our trained Health Care Professionals, in addition to our award-winning home care support. Offering a range of services, spanning beyond home help and companionship into clinical care, enables clients to stay at home for longer.
Our Care Professionals receive City & Guild’s accredited dementia training, ensuring they are highly skilled and aware of what the realities of living with dementia.
Our passion for advocacy and education of life with dementia and other memory conditions had led to the creation of our own memory events.
In April, we opened our first Dementia Memory Café in Partnership with Wentworth Woodhouse, creating a safe community space for those living with dementia. We also offer training in Dementia and Alzheimer’s awareness externally.
We hope to expand on these sessions, running supportive Memory Café spaces throughout Sheffield and Barnsley for not just our clients, but our whole community. We are beyond excited to announce we are hosting Training2Care’s immersive Dementia Bus experience to further educate Sheffield on the importance of understanding living with dementia.
