This course is aimed at all staff in health and social care.
The International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) is a global standard with terminology and definitions to describe texture modified foods and thickened liquids used for individuals with dysphagia of all ages, in all care settings, and for all cultures.
At the end of the training session, there is a short-written assessment to evidence the learning of the attendees.

Practical
Demonstrate the correct techniques for testing:
Fluids using 10 ml syringe
Foods using spoon tilt, fork, and chopstick method.
