Course Description:

Individuals who have been hospitalised under the Mental Health Act can get a community treatment order (CTO). A CTO means the individual can have supervised treatment outside of hospital. There are conditions attached that protect the individual and these conditions need to be adhered to. Breaking these conditions can lead to being taken back into hospital.

This training will help you understand relevant terminology surrounding CTOs and when a CTO can be made and how long they last. It covers what an Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) is, how families get involved and more.
