The D.I.E.T. Course (Dining, Immersive, Experiential Training) Max 12 Delegates

The priority for care providers when supporting people that have a diagnosis of dementia is to maintain a healthy weight and follow a balanced diet.  The care industry is massively successful at designing and preparing superb meals for the people that they support, but do we fail to promote food and drink intake in the dining area?

The newly launched D.I.E.T course provided exclusively through Training 2 CARE, transports you on a journey into their world and experience first-hand the challenges that are faced in this important and sometimes taken for granted area.

As part of this course, you will experience the sensory challenges of sight, smells, hearing and much more.  You will have the chance to try for yourself the latest adaptive equipment, you will understand how to dress dining tables, design menus, colour spectrums and so much more.

But what makes this course different? Simply put, having the opportunity to truly understand, first-hand, the barriers that we unintentionally put in place around dining for dementia, is something that will stay with staff forever.  Promoting a positive dining experience through new knowledge will improve the lives of both staff and the people that we support and will change the dementia landscape forever.
